Mechanical Engineering Student

Hello, my name is Walter Kimball, and I am currently completing my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. I live split between Maine and New York and have many hours of experience in this field, ranging from internships, projects, and research.

This will serve as a collection of projects that I have both worked on and am currently working on, in engineering, as well as my own personal ventures.

Recent Achievements

New NYU Motorsports Drivetrain Lead

Starting the Fall semester of 2025, I will be taking on the role of Drivetrain lead for our NYU Motorsports Baja Team. This brings on many new responsibilities in design and leadership in producing a performance powertrain for off-road autocross-style environments. I hope to bring new innovation to my sub-team to help us place high in our SAE composition.

Highlights

NYU Motorsports

NYU Motorsports comprises two teams, Baja SAE and Formula Electric SAE, which are student-led engineering efforts to design and construct vehicles to compete in international motorsport competitions. My contributions have been made to the Baja Team in various capacities.
